Project properties – Component

Properties listed below allow users to customize their components.

Name

Name of element component. This property corresponds to the FEA software component/group definition and should be within Components File. Use of special characters might cause problems during 3D geometry initialization.

Alias

Component name that will be displayed within PDF document. Use of special characters might cause problems during 3D geometry initialization.

Parent

Components may be grouped into assemblies. This property defines name of parent group/node. Use of special characters might cause problems during 3D geometry initialization. To position group/model node at the top of the model tree, NULL value should be set. Context options are available for selected Parent cells.

MeshType

This property defines type of the component. Valid options are: LineSet, Plane, Solid and Group. Context options are available for selected MeshType cells.

Active

Each component can be disabled from being exported to PDF. Context options are available for selected Active cells.

AddMeshLines

PDF “solid outline” display mode shows only free edges. pdfPost workaround allows user to generate additional linesets for selected components. Additional child component is generated with FE wireframe. This option works only for plane elements. For solids, “solid outline” works fine.
